Maryland Entertainment was founded by Ken Stern in 1989.
Ken has created and played in the region's finest, most innovative bands including Night Life, the area's leading show band. In 1984, Ken formed High Society, the region's most sought-after band. Ken is the driving force behind High Society, which utilizes audience participation and has earned him a reputation for excellence. His marketing degree from the University of Maryland and over 15 years as a successful talent consultant in Washington and Baltimore gives Maryland Entertainment a unique perspective.

Co-owner Lois Stern,
A native Washingtonian, studied acting at the Meisner School in New York City. Upon her return, Lois put her skills to work doing "voice-overs" for radio commercials and corporate film narrations. As a member of both AFTRA and SAG, Lois maintains many connections with the area's top actors. Using her experience as a lead entertainer of three Washington party bands along with her acting talent, Lois formed Party Shooz, the region's hottest interactive party dance troupe.
